That's it!
Your DM automation is ready to engage and connect with your audience.
Next step, create a call-to-action for your caption.
Let's create a call-to-action to make your fans aware of your campaign(s)
Creating a great call to action on your posts, reels, and stories is key to generating amazing engagement.
Creating a great call to action is important to activate your fan base here are a few examples:
Stampede Social offers an automated DM campaign technology that allows you to communicate with your Instagram and Facebook fans without manually messaging each one, and without having to use a "link in bio".
Here's how it works:
First, you ask your fans to comment with a specific keyword on a post. Then, when a fan follows your call to action, the DM automation kicks in, and the fan receives a direct message (DM) with a link to the content they requested.
Setting up the automation is simple and takes less than 5 seconds. All you need to do is go to your Campaign page and:
This automation will instantly work on Instagram Posts, Reels, Live Events, Stories, and Direct messages (DM). For Facebook this will instantly work on Facebook stories or by sending a message with the campaign trigger.
With automated campaigns, you can engage with your fans quickly and easily, and deliver the content they desire without any friction.
Stampede Social's DM automation makes it easy for you to give your fans really good service.
It's good for both you and your fans because your fans want to see your content and support you, but they want it to be easy.
It can be a hassle for your fans to have to read a caption and then look for your content in your bio.
The best way to make your fans happy is to offer them DM automation content delivery.
With Stampede Social, your fans can just send you a comment or DM and they'll get a link to the content they want to see.
So, you're wondering how to know when to use an automated DM campaign? Well, if you were just about to write "see link in bio" to direct people to an article, then it's safe to say you should have used Stampede Social instead!
DM automation can be a great way to engage with your followers and promote your content in a more targeted and personalized way.
Just make sure you have a clear call to action and that the content you're sharing is relevant and valuable to your audience.
Use DM automation wisely and strategically, and you might just see some great results.
After your fan engages in one of your campaigns, we send them a DM with all the necessary information to access your content.
We've created a series of starter responses that enable you to run multiple Automated DM campaigns simultaneously.
Here are some examples of the default messages we send on your behalf:
Additionally, we reference the content your fan replied to in the DM, providing them with the necessary context.
It's worth noting that while we send DMs on your behalf, we don't have access to your inbox, and we can't see any responses your fans make to the DMs we send.
No. You can't send an automated DM to your own account. To test an automation comment with a different account either to a recent post or send a DM with the hashtag.
Your fans or customers can receive the automated-DM for each campaign one time.
If your campaign is "video" and I comment or DM you "video" 5 times, I will only receive one DM response with you for your "video" campaign.
Yes, there are a few important things to keep in mind when creating Auto-DM campaigns:
It's important to tell your followers clearly what they need to do to see your posts. This is called a call to action.
If you make a post or reel on Instagram and someone replies directly to it, they will get an automatic message from you. But if they reply to a reply, they won't get the message. So make sure to tell your followers to reply directly to your post. For example, you could say "Comment below "frenchfry" (or DM me "frenchfry") and I'll DM you a link for 10% off".
If you make an Instagram story, your followers will get an automatic message if you ask them to "send message" or comment on the story.
During an Instagram live event, you can ask your followers to comment with a specific keyword. This will automatically send them a direct message about that campaign.
On Facebook you should instruct them to message you the campaign keyword from a post. On a Facebook story they can simply comment (same as Instagram)
You can also ask your followers to send you a direct message with a specific keyword. This will trigger an automatic reply from you, just like if they commented on your post.
Important note: Your followers will only receive one automatic message per campaign. So if someone comments or DMs you multiple times, they will still only get one automatic reply per campaign.
Stampede Social sends special links that are different from regular links. These links have extra information that can help you understand how people interact with your social media posts.
Here's what you can learn from Stampede Social's links:
Stampede Social is really good at giving you lots of information automatically.
DM automation is a tool that can be used in Stampede Social to automatically send direct messages to your fans.
You can use any post or reel monitored by Stampede Social to trigger the DM automation.
To let your fans know about it, you need to write a clear call-to-action in your caption, like "Comment below "top5jokes" (or DM me and I'll auto-DM you a link to the Best 5 Jokes I know."
It's also a good idea to include the call-to-action in the image or video.
DM automation is a tool that can be used in Stampede Social to automatically send direct messages to your fans during an Instagram live event.
Once your campaign is set up, you can ask your fans to comment with a specific keyword (like "top5jokes") during the live event.
This will trigger the DM automation and send them a link to your book, newsletter, podcast episode, Amazon store product, or anything else you want to share with them.
To make sure your fans know about the keyword, you can pin a comment with the call-to-action and encourage them to use it throughout the live event.
For example, you could say something like "Comment "top5jokes" and I'll auto-DM you a link to the Best 5 Jokes I know."
DM automation also works with your Instagram and Facebook stories.
Once your campaign is set up in Stampede Social, you can ask your fans to comment with a keyword on your Instagram story. This will trigger an automatic direct message with the URL to your content.
You might wonder if you can just use the URL sticker feature on IG instead. The answer is yes, you can.
But the beauty of Stampede Social is that you don't have to force your fans to engage with your content just because they happened to come across it.
Sometimes, we see something we're interested in but don't have the time to check it out right away.
That's where Stampede's DM automation comes in handy. By asking your fans to comment on the story, they'll receive the link in their DM, making it convenient for them to revisit any time they want to.
Sending a campaign keyword direct to your DM will trigger the DM automation sending direct messages to your fans, in the same way, had they responded to a post, reel, or story with a specific campaign hashtag.
This is a useful feature that allows your fans to privately request specific content without it being public.
When creating calls-to-action, make sure to let your fans know that they can either comment/reply to posts or DM you the same hashtag to receive the content.
Direct-to-DM responses are also great for host-read podcast ads because you can direct people to your DM instead of a long URL.
For example, you could say "Hey, DM me "top5jokes" and I'll automatically send you a link to the best 5 jokes I know."
Well, you could, but it's not the easiest way for your fans to find what they're looking for. They would have to leave your post or video and go to your bio, find the link, and then search for the specific thing they wanted to click on. It's a lot to ask!
But with Stampede Social, it's much easier. You can directly send URLs to your fans when they need them, and they'll see it in their DM.
This means they don't have to go searching for the link in your bio - it's right there for them. And when you use Stampede Social, fans are more likely to click on the link - up to 120% more likely!
So while having a link in your bio is still a good idea, using Stampede Social makes it much easier for you and your fans to share and access the links they need.
It's a win-win situation!
The number of direct messages you can send per month may vary depending on the Creator package you selected during your registration on Stampede Social. If you require more monthly DMs than what is provided in your package, you can reach out to us for a personalized plan that can better cater to your requirements or simply upgrade to the next package.
Generally, an automated direct message (DM) sent by you can be expected to be received within 10 seconds.
Unfortunately, no.
The automation will only work on posts from the Instagram account that has given permission to Stampede Social to send messages for them.
If your account is linked to Stampede Social and you invite a collaborator, the post that appears on the collaborator's page will be compatible with Stampede Social.
However, please note that the post remains yours but is mirrored on the collaborator's feed. If someone responds to the mirrored version on the collaborator's page, they will receive a direct message from the original poster rather than the collaborator, since the original poster is linked to Stampede Social.
However, this will not work with a direct message request to the collaborator.
Therefore, if you make a post and tag a collaborator, it might be best not to mention the option of direct messaging since automation will not occur if the collaborator is sent a direct message.
No. Instagram live tracking and Stampede Social features will only work if you initiate the Instagram Live event.
In the reporting section of your Stampede Interface, there is a report labeled 'Auto-DMs Sent'.
The reporting page will also show the top 5 auto-dm campaign results.
The downloadable report lists every automation sent. Among other information, it also lets you know if they clicked on the link.
An analysis of this report by your team will give you a pulse on your most popular content.
