Bend Without the Snap? Don’t You Dare!
When Legally Blonde celebrated its 20th anniversary Reese Witherspoon took to her Instagram. She posted a video of her floating on a raft in a pool as a nod to one of the scenes from the iconic movie. Reese took it a step further and asked her fans to contribute to the post in her caption:
Questions from her fans/followers (she has over 30 million on IG) started to pour in. Some 3.5k comments later, there were only a handful of questions Reese actually answered.
Should her fans expect a response? Of course, her fans wouldn’t necessarily expect Reese, a busy actress and businesswoman to spend hours combing through each and every Instagram comment, however in this case it was Reese that started the conversation.
But we get it, Reese and her social team likely were overwhelmed and did their best to manage it. But at the same time she missed a huge opportunity to really connect with her fans. She asked them to “fire away”, and then dare I say, she did the bend without the snap.

If you are going to put yourself out there, you have the responsibility to see it through. All the way through to the snap!
